regulations -
- faxes can only
be sent between 9 am to 9:30 pm on weekdays; 10 am to 6 pm on weekends
- the fax must
identify the person or organization making the call, including the telephone
number, fax number and name and address of a responsible person to whom the
recipient can write (this also applies to organizations sending unsolicited
faxes on behalf of another organization)
- the fax must
display the originating calling number or an alternate number where the call
originator can be reached (except where number display is unavailable for
technical reasons)
- sequential
dialing is not permitted
- no fax calls
are permitted to emergency lines or healthcare facilities
- names and
numbers must be removed from calling lists within 7 days of the called
party's request
